Abstract

|
In the bronchial stenosis due to benign causes, bronchoplassic procedure has been considered as one of the best surgical treatment, because of preserving normal lung tissue below the affected bronchi. We have treated 2 patients(tracheal
leiomyoma,
bronchial stenosis due to chronic inflammatory cicatrization) that suffered from benign tracheal and bronchial stenosis by bronchoplastic procedure using autologous costal cartilage covered with pericardium. Patients showed good patency of
bronchoplastic bronchi in bronchoscopic examination that was performed at 6 months after the operation.
